GameGune 2012 to feature CS 1.6

GameGune has announced that a Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament will once again take place at its annual event on July 26-29.

The event will take place at Euskal Encounter LAN party which is held every July in Bilbao. This year is the 20th event and it will be held on July 26-29 at Bilbao Exhibition Center as usual.

The event has traditionally offered 22,500€ up for grabs in the Counter-Strike tournament, with a split of 12,000€ for first, 6,000€ for second, 3,000€ for third and 1,500€ for fourth.

Euskal Encounter plays host to GameGune once again 

This year's prize purse for Counter-Strike hasn't been announced yet, although the entire event is said to offer over 50,000€ in prizes divided for various competitions on PC and consoles.

As usual, the participation fee is 42€ if you prepay and 45€ at the door. If you wish to apply for an invitation, you can do so by emailing gamegune@euskalencounter.org. Worth noting is that invited teams have to pay for participation too, as will a manager if they wish to attend.
